Before inspecting operation of the mechanism of gear shifting, be convinced that:

- all elements of a drive of gear shifting are in good repair, move easily, without jammings;

- both cables of gear shifting are correctly attached to levers of a choice and inclusion of transfers;

- coupling joins well and switched off;

- the lever of gear shifting costs in neutral situation.

Note On HUNDRED drive of gear shifting it is regulated by means of the special VW 3388 tool.

Check of operability of a drive of gear shifting carry out in the following order:

- establish the gear shifting lever in neutral situation, between 3 and 4 transfers;

- squeeze out coupling and in turn include all transfers. Thus pay special attention to faultless inclusion of transfer of a backing;

- make a trial trip on the car with all options of switchings of a transmission.
